i got my new guages, new faces and new surrounding guage thingy ( forgot what its called ROFL ) just thought i get on here and ask people what would be a good way about putting them in and does anyone have a how too on removing a dash in 1g ;) (i searched), thanks, later

I did this in my G2 and the G1 setup should be relatively the same. You should have 2 screws at the top of the gauge cluster on your side of the clear plastic. The first step to getting to those gauges is to take out those screws. Once they are out you can pull that black plastic piece away from the clear plastic. From there it should be relatively intuitive on how to get the cluster out.

As for the gauge faces, when I installed mine I ran the wires behind the console panel to the left of the radio and connected it to the ash tray light. This light comes on and off when you turn your lights on and off.. which is what you probably want your gauge faces to do also. The ash tray light should have a red and black wire going to it (if the G1 is anything like the G2), so you'll have to cut these wires open.. connect your gauge face wires to them, and tape em back up with some electrical tape or what have you.
