that is the same setup i built but ended up not liking it. the reason i didnt like it is my own fault really, i had my subs sitting up to high and they were only inches from the hatch when shut, it didnt hit nearly as hard or sound nearly as good as when i had them facing backwards. that setup is real clean, however people can see exactly what you got going on in your hatch now (another reason i got rid of it and just put the trunk cover thing back ontop) however ive seen and heard a ton of system setup liek that that absolutely POUND. its all about sub placement though, so just make sure your not an idiot like me and make the false floor lower and not so close to the hatch.

i see what your saying but also how do you go about making something like that... i just don't like the idea of sloppy box just sitting back there

well ill tell you how i did mine, but this is only one way and maybe not the best way either, but it seemed like the easiest ide ai could think of at the time...

i got a old sealed box for 2 12's from my friend and ripped all the carpet off. i then built a frame for it so it would sit evenly when flipped upright and the wires had clearence underneath. then the hard part, making the top piece - i did this the only way i could think of at the time, i took cardboard and cut it to fit the contours of the inside of my hatch. after i got the whole pattern - which was all taped up and pieced together, i layed it on a sheet of 1/2'' plywood and traced the pattern. cut it out and test fitted it, of course didnt fit perfect but wasnt that bad... took some serious time getting it to fit as good as possible. then i layed the sub box upright and placed the top piece ontop of that (the sub box was empty, no subs in it) i cut a small hole in the top piece roughly where the holes of the sub box's cutouts were, i then placed my hand inside the small hole i cut in the top and traced the whole 12'' for the sub cutouts. (i hope that made sense,, i tried to word it as best as possible) after all that was done i then went on to make a encloser for my amp, i just traced my amp and made a "box" for it so it could be resessed into the top piece and have the amp sit flush with the top piece making for a clean look (i also mounted my cap underneath this box - i was going to make a cutout for it but didnt have long enough wires so i said screw it.) i was then going to carpet it, but i played around with it for alittle and it didnt sound right, so i took 2 weeks of time and effort and thrwe it away  i have pics of my attempt if you care to see, or if you want PM or IM me and ill try to help you out as much as i can. i was going to make another one not so high up so it would sound better but didnt feel like it, oh well. good luck. :thumb:

get something fiberglassed, look is unbeatable, here is mine on a 2g

How is the cooling on your amp? I have had your pictures on my computer for a LONG time I love your trunk setup.

Cooling is just fine, the large metal circle in the middle of the amp is a fan that turns on when the amp begins to warm up, only turns on during long periods of usage but keeps the amp cool enough to continue operation
