tail light swap

i dont particularly like the look of the taillihgts on my 93...talon lights (outers only) would fit it, right? would the talon lights also have to be from a 92-94 or would 89-91 lites fit it too? i think i like the 89-91 talon tails most. thanks.

I too am interested in this. I know of what full tail assemblies are interchangeable, but with my 92 talon, could i fit just outer pieces of assembly from a 1gb eclipse? I realize i would have to custom in some reverse lights, but i am tryin to stay away from having to buy an eclipse bumper.

You'd end up having some gap where the talon tails curved down towards the center.

If you went with 1gb talon tails I'm pretty sure you'd have to swap bumpers (I've got one of those for sale, too-cheap) If you went with the 1ga talon tails, they may actually fit in.

Okay heres the rundown.

90-91 Talon tails, 90-91 laser tails, and 90-94 eclipse tails are all interchangeable. The only differences are the way the colored stripe is in them, and also the symbol in the middle peice

92-94 talon tails are different then all others

92-94 laser tails are different then all others

If you put 90-91 talon tails on your 93 eclipse, they will bolt right up and basically look stock. except for the location of the colored stripe, nothing will be different at all.

If you put 92-94 talon tails on your 93 eclipse, first of all they wont line up with your center peice correcty. Second, they will not fit with your bumper correctly.

If you want 92-94 style talon tails, you need all 3 peices and the rear bumper.

Yeah, I've got it on my rear lights on my talon. It does generate a lot of comments.

one time when i was pulled over the cop told me to take off the taillight covers, i told him i didn't have any and he looked at me weird, i told him those are the lenses. his response "oh" and he didn't do a damn thing.

it still reflects red, that one little reflector at the bottom of both tails still reflects red, well for me it does. i think nightshades is the best way to go for anything having to do with aftermarket taillight upgrades. better than chrome tails, thats for sure.

89-90 tails don't fit right on the 92-94 cars. I mean they bolt in and everything but they leave a gap in the corners due to the more rounded corners on the 92-94's.
