Resolved 2G power windows not working!

it just happened a few hours ago coming home from school...the passenger side window is not working! good thing i left it closed.
i called the mitsu dealership and their charging me like $70 to fix it.
is there any way to fix this instead of going to satan?

same problem with a friend of mine...sometimes it works...sometimes it doesn't...

and when it does, the window just 'falls' instead of 'rolls' down...
doesn't wanna spend the money to fix it....

i say take it to them...they'll have some type of warranty if they screw up right?

haha ya the window lock makes people feel like dumbazzez, funny as it may seem. I would check that first.

Also, is it just not going up or down or does it just do that slowly?

If you have a 2G, which you do, you might want to pull the door skin off and check the switch box for the windows and locks. The bosses (the sockets that the screws for the box screw in to) have a tennancy of cracking after a few years. When they do, the box drops about 1/4 of an inch, and the first thing to go is the ability to roll down the passenger window. Check this out. There's an easy fix for it. While your in there, get four slightly larger screws and some JB Weld. Put the JB Weld in and around the four bosses, and screw the box back up with the larger screws. Let it set for about 12 hours. You will never have this problem again. I did this six months ago on my '95 Talon, and have never had this problem since. If you are clean with the weld, the new screws will hold well and you can still remove the box if you need to.

I can roll down my passenger window from the driver side, but I can't roll it back up, I have to use the passenger side button to roll it back up. It's not my window lock, I know how that works. What could I check to find out how to fix this window problem? Also... My sunroof, one of the little slider buttosn on the big part is broken off, hopefully you know what I'm talking about, how could I get that off to replace it?
