1G Bumper

i have a question, and i'm very sorry if its been asked before, i tried searching but don't always find what im' looking for. in any event, i was wondering if the 1G talon rear bumper would fit on a 1G eclipse? i know that when doing an eclipse conversion from a talon you need an eclipse bumper, but i don't know if you can just take the lip off from the talon or if any of the eclipse or laser packages came with a lip like the talons? well. thanks for your input.

The picture in your post is a 1Gb Talon rear. The 1Ga rear has the plate and backup lights in the bumper and is not the same. If you get all the parts you should be able to put a Talon 1Gb on a Mits 1Gb the assembly line could do it on a car to car basis depending on what trim each car was to have. Eagle, Plymouth and, Mitsu all rolled down the same line at the same time.

i don't want to do a conversion, all i'm looking for is a rear lip or bumper that cradles the exhaust like the talon does. i just like the looks is all. thanks.

thats the only 1g that has a rear like that with a cutout area for the exhaust

INMHO I think that you should swa pt o a talkon bumper since they are DAMN sexy especially compared to the eclipse.

well, i figured out my dilema, i'm just going to cut the bottom lip off from the eclipse, and the talon and put the talon lip on my eclipse bumper. its should work out. so thanks for the input.

by 'cut' and 'put'...are you saying you are going to cut apart both bumpers and attempt to glue them back together? If so, I would recommend against doing that are urethane is hard to mold together. Unless you have some good idea of connecting the two...

well, i'm thinking of using Norton's Speedgrip. it puts 2500lbs of pressure or hold per sq. inch, if it can hold a rear quarter on a car, i'm pretty sure it can hold the bottom of a bumper. thanks for the interest and input.

It would be a hell of a lot simpler just swapping the Talon rear bumper and tail lights on.

i don't much care for the talon taillights though, i mean they're okay and all, but i much prefer mine. i just like the talon bumper better. I have a question though, how is it that the talon bumper doesn't fit the eclipse? is it too big, to short or what's the difference exactly? thanks.

see there at the center section where the talon tails drop down, eclipse tails dont do that. therefor you will be left with a big open gap.
