Custom Mirror Sub enclosed........

I am getting some supplies together to create an entire trunk area that is mirrord. I am basiclly working on lining the inside of the trunk with 1/4 plywood. After that I have bulk sheets of mirror from work. I am going to use my glass cutter and cut the peices and then lay them against the plywood. I was planning on using a clear silicon for the edges unless i can find a way to "miter" the edges of the mirror. I will then place the subs in the middle and finish with some neons, small strobes and leds.

i really doubt ull find a way to miter the edges of the mirror as mirrors arent the same the whole way thru... if u do mitre it u will be cutting off the top "mirror finish"

You sure are gunna have a heavy trunk. They sell mirror film, mostly used for under the hood to accent the engine that would be more practical for this application... but hey if ur getting these mirrors at work for free and don't care about the weight, im sure it'll turn out lookin pretty sick. Lookin forward to seein the progress.

And on the real mirrors..... hrmmm is this going to be a street car? could you imagine being rear ended or something "yea the accident wasn't that bad but the flying shards of glass almost killed me".

That was the first thing i though of. I just need avoid accidents!
-The mirror is thin, I figure that If i get any breakage i can replace one area a a time as opposed to replacing entire areas, the trick will be making the line eye appealing. No way to make curves in the glass so I need to make the least amount of lines. I will have to sacrfice much room in the trunk, hopfully its worth it.
I am going to start taking everything out this weeked. I'll keep all the pics and such,
