Hey guys,
Has anyone tried to get one of those in dash DVD players from ebay..The ones that go for like 700bucks and if anyone has did it work?how easy was installation

what kind of in-dash is it? usually the cheaper the screen, the crapier the picture looks. you might want to save your money and get an Alpine IVA-d300. They run about 1200 bucks with indash dvd and touch screen. The picture is well worth the extra money. Don't quote me on that price just yet, I'll double check and repost it if it's wrong. To the other post, different strokes for differen fokes. Some people like the handling and the toys. Just because it isn't or you doesn't mean that someone else can't put it in their ride. It'd be quite boring if everybody did the same mods to their car.

with something like an in-dash DVD player, why would you go cheap on it? If you're gonna shell out the cash, might as well get a reliable brand.

if you want a tv, go for it. its possible to do both with enough money. i have an indash tv screen and plan on molding/fiberglassing one replacing my airbag. i have my interior completely painted and have a full kit with 19's, does that mean im not allowed to own a turbo or allowed to do engine mods?
anything possible with enough money.

Also, look into motorized screens without the built in dvd player. look on ebay for screens and make sure the resolution is high. mine is 1400x400 which is comparable to the alpines/pioneer/clarions. quality is the same. i compared them side by side. i paid 350 for mine, but it doesnt have the dvd player built in. We drive cars that have double din's, you can just put your dvd player below it, or not even run a dvd player. use an xbox or ps2 for the dvds.

ud go cheap to save some money, duh . yes im well aware that legacy and other like brands suck at anything they do, but my neighbor had a cheap legacy screen(not in dash) and it looked pretty decent. if u didnt need indash there are some oem lcds on ebay thatd youd have to make a case or fiberglass something to put them in, otherwise theyre cheap and have great picture. u cant really watch much anyways, and if your passenger complains tell them to take the bus. :laugh:
