i don't know that much about them. does anyone know of a good bright set. i've seen the round ones with the dual fog and driving lights side be side, what do you think about them also.

Don't get too bright, cops will nail you for that one too. Unfortunate they've got to be such PITA's, isn't it?

I wasn't necessarily referring to PIAA's, just fog/driving lights in general. I have no idea exactly what lights are supposedly DOT approved or not, just that if they're too bright they can ticket you for it.

PIAA is way to expensive for a set of freaking lights, go to NAPA or whatever and get a set of Hella's for $50. i picked up the rounded rectangle ones cause they go better with 1G headlights, but get whatever. They put out 100w so its a nice bright light. Thats my opinion Anyways. PIAA's are too expensive cause all the switches and sh*t are chrome and they are just a waste of money

I have the hella optilux 1502's. These are really bright. They have a blue lens, but the lights are bright. I am very happy with them. They look like some HID's I've seen. They are about $55 at advance auto or places like that too. People sometimes flash their high beams b/c they're so bright, but oh well. I can see a lot better with them.
Not sure if these are the off road only ones or not, but I haven't been pulled for having them. :thumb:

Thats funny, because my PIAA's dont have ANY chrome parts. In fact very few of PIAA's lights even have chrome housings.
In the general matter of driving/fog lights, its like anything else, you get what you pay for. Your Hella's may have been less expensive, but i guarantee they dont put out near the candlepower the PIAA's do.
