I'd lost the tails myself, but the paint looks awesome man! I'm about to be getting my 1g as soon as I swap out my head. All black, talon tails w/ painted centerpiece. Looks great though man!

That looks really good, man! Gotta love shiny black DSMs. Did the ding they fixed in your door look as good as new? I've got a couple dings in my doors from careless people in parking lots

I cant even tell where the ding was, I have 1 small one like a bb hit in the lower passenger door under the mid trim line that I forgot about so it didnt get fixed, too late now  but oh well its 15 yrs old and looks better now than it ever has. Tails were a Xmas gift so theres family matters involved w/ those :) they grew on me the cf look is better than the chrome ones, thank god those werent under the tree :thumb:

i like the tails i think it looks good on black.. paint looks great!

looks good :thumb: I miss my black eclipse  how did they do around the moldings? My black car was painted at a maaco and they didnt tape off the moldings very well so you could DEFINATELY tell that it had been repainted, if I ever get my paint done at a maaco then I will do all the prep myself and take off all the moldings taht I can before I go, people seem to get better results that way. Yours does look very good though :thumb:

Looks good!!! Can I ask what Maaco in central NJ? I'll be looking to get my car re-painted and that price is 1/3 of the quote I got at the Maaco near me., and 1/4 the price i was quoted from a private body shop.

looks great man, doesn't look like a Maaco paint job at all :p :thumb:

if you guys do end up getting your cars painted at Maaco, check out some of the other newly painted cars in the lot and make sure to do all the prep work yourself

I went to the maaco in south Toms River on Dover Rd, right of the GS pkwy. search maaco.com for store locator. Keep in mind this is urethane paint which will flex unlike cheap enamel but it is not factory clear coat style paint. It was $229 base price for enamel, $450 base price for urethane, and like $900 for a factory clear coat job, at the one I was at in Toms River. Good job overall, I forgot about one ding in lower pass door, oh well F it. It cost me $636 w/ tax (for the $450 base price urethane) to do prep which was remove stickers/labels, prep plastic wing/mirrors, roof, chem strip a messed up hood I installed after deer hit.

that paint looks really nice, the maaco's around here only give 60 mph paint jobs.
