Alright, when I got my talon, the interior was pretty beat up. Panels were scratched and cracked. I decided to sand and repaint them all black, but I dont want EVERYTHING to be black, so I painted some peices blue, but it ended up lighter than I would have preferred, and I dont know if I like the blue. The blue is TruBlue by Krylon by the way, I dont have pics. I was thinking of going with a black and white theme, with everything black except the door inserts, the place where the above head lights are etc. Just the small accent peices really.
My question is what do you guys prefer PERSONALLY, just give me your thoughts. Black and a lighter blue or black and white?? Also, does anyone have experiance with white interiors, getting really dirty etc? I dont eat or drink or smoke in my car, nor do I go rolling around in the mud and drive home.
What do you think?

By the way, if it matters, my car is white (obviously) and I plan on eventually getting black rims w/polished lip and the windows tinted black and a c/f hood, so a black and white theme kinda on the outside as well.

black and white defintately, although, you should really consider silver instead of white. im gonna do some silver accents on the interior of my car at some point.

Black and blue from a design/color standpoint is not a good combo.

I dont see anything wrong with the all black. I wish I had that instead of all grey. In fact I'd prefer it over anything else, that way you don't have to worry about matching.

go all black man.... that's how i did mine and it looks awesome, my gauges are white faced but other than that its all black, i did a flat black and clear coat so it gives off the 'armoral' look, so it looks like i just added a fresh coat of armoral 5 mins ago :D it looks great man :thumb: just my opinion though

80% of the interior is done in gloss already, that isnt changing, LOL. The reason I dont want to go all black is because I would like some contrast, but when I say minimal accents, that is what I mean. Like the door inserts, the little inserts on the dash, radio trim, and the inside peice of the gauge cluster, and the peice that holds the interior lights. Also,I painted the smooth strip of the dash in between the bumpy peice against the windsheild and the bumpy dashboard itself. I have white gauges, and am getting white overlays for the heat and whatnot. The only thing is I have a blue oriented cd player/speakers, so that is why I went blue in the first place.

i think if you HAVE to have accents .. i would do black and a silver or dk grey .. that will eliminate most of the "GOOD LORD!" response from people getting in your car and getting messed up eyes from the contrasting colors .. plus white is easy to get dirty

Yea, I am going to change the blue to white, I think it will look cleaner. I really dont like silver all that much, and if I wanted gray, i could have left it stock or replaced the broken ones with oem. So white it is, thanks for your opinions.

Well, for that it is too late, I already have countless sanding hours and quite a bit of money in paint and sandpaper and whatnot, b/c the interior is probably 80% done. If I did it all over again, I wouldnt do it, but now it is so far, that I just wanted the best color scheme I can have.
I dont think it will end up looking bad, but I wouldnt have spent the time and money.

what type of 'Flat Black' paint do you use? At the auto stores i see the krylon Satin blk and gloss blk but no flat black. I also see allot of the high temp black paint.

what did you guys use to make it no 'shine' so much.

White with black top, black tint, black wheels, and a CF hood would look sick. Thats what my perfect 1G would look like. 91 TSi AWD all done up like that ^ = :D :thumb:

That is exactly my plan, as soon as I take care of goodies under the hood. :thumb: That is why I changed my mind and am doing a few small white accents in the black interior, instead of blue.

I did my interior in white and red. Mostly white as you can see in the pictures. This was the biggest mistake i have made with my car by far. The white looks great, BUT it gets extreamly durty and the glare is ridiculus.

Yea, thanks for the replies, I already have all the blue parts to white and man it looks VERY CLEAN :thumb: . As far as glare, none of the peices are really in a position to cause glare, just a few accents and thats it.

If you want it all to look like it did, with grain in the parts try wraping all the stuff in black/white vinyl. It would be time consuming, but would look much better than having all the interior peices smooth and glossy.
