Has any of you guys ever seen a passenger headlight cover use to let air go into the intake. Sort of a ram air intake or something like that. I've been looking for the cover or something like but i would like to be able to keep the headlight :thumb:

Yea they make em for miatas and rx7s but ive never seen one for a dsm, probably because only two years had pop up lights, I made one for my 1G too. It was even for sale in the classifieds for 20 buck but noone asked about it so i gave it to a local kid, just use a grinder and fiberglass with some bondo, and take your time. Measure twice, cut once. You have to clear all the stuff under the light so when it goes up and down it doesnt crack. Id get a spare from the junkyard so you dont ruin your good one that matches you paint. I got mine for 5 bucks then the labor. Gook luck.

This is what you are talkign about right? This is a picture some guy on here sent me when he was going to make one for me. I got screwed over on that deal, and have looked into it a bit more and it seems real easy to make.

yeah man i that's what i was looking for. But does the air go to the intake??

Other than the looks, it won't hurt anything. I seriously doubt it'd do enough for the intake to be noticable. But you could undoubtedly sell them by the dozens on eBay. Make them out of shitbox-looking carbon fiber, call it the Pirate Eyepatch Intake and quadruple sales. There's a raft of new, tender DSM owners coming in with the new model year (although you may not have noticed that).

You could mount a parrot on a rear-view mirror, and drive around on three wheels on your way to work at FedEx.

Arrrrgh.

ROFL Defiant

Put a piece of PVC through your hi-bright light area. You'll sacrifice a High headlight in the process though.

I just built an air shield to keep engine bay air out of the intake area. It's easier, and you can keep your headlights.

I like the idea, but it's too bad the design doesn't look any better on that red one. I would much rather put the gills in my headlight cover, but that's just me.

Oh and defiant youre are one crazy dude

Had mine like that for a bit .. but i got tired of how it looked
