Here is the deal, I just got a sweet deal on a set of 18x7.5 5Zigen RX-6 rims without tires. Keeping in mind that I have also come across a set of free Skunk 2 coilover sleeves. What would be a good tire size and which shocks should I go with. I was looking at the Tokico Shocks or Koni Red Shocks? Should I also think about getting adjustable shocks? With all this I'm also assuming that I will need a camber kit as well. The car is for driving to work and back, wont see a lot of track time yet. Here is a picture I had photoshopped together so you can see my new wheels. The FMIC will come later as well.

Thanks for any input that you all may have.

It says 43 offset on the box and I was told they would be perfect for lowering the vehicle.

I believe the proper tires for our dsms are 225/40/18 this will keep the speedo as close to stock as possible... as for shocks... i am going through this same dilemma right now.. it seems the top of the line choice would be to get a set of tein coilovers, but they're pretty pricey... from what i see most people go with tokico illuminas, kyb agx's or even koni yellows, as for springs, for a moderate drop the popular choices are eibach pro-kits, h&r OE or race, or even tein s-tech... the more extreme drops would be eibach sportlines or h&r sports

I have 235/45/18 on a 45 offset, and there is not enough room to stick my little finger between the tire and the suspension parts (in back). But I love all that rubber.

You are confused about your tire size and/or offset. There's no way that would fit.

PhatChick, although it is possible to go wider, the 43mm offset will limit you to 225 width tires, which is a very good size for that wheel width anyway.

You are right, they are 235/40/18s although the rim is a 45 offset.

Here's that clearance I was talking about.

You won't get your finger in there, or any other body part for that matter.
