Interior Paint?

I want to paint my interior..im sick of grey..its so blah..does anyone have pics of paint schemes for a 2g..if anyone knows a paint, that will look stock and not either shinny or dull ?? i would sure love to do black, but doesnt everyone..also, does anyone know of like a carpet dye, that doesnt look cheap and ricey, and would look stock ??...thanks.please post pics.

i think the whole 'interior paint scheme' idea looks 'cheap and ricey'. but thats just my thought, i say go ALLLLL black. that is how they should have come. -jam

i totally agree 100% i hate it, but my question was, if their was any paint out their that when applied looks stock..

You can get a complete black carpet set from ebay. It fits all 2G's and it comes preformed. I did it to my car. I converted the ENTIRE interior to all black (floor, headliner, dash. etc). Looks really good so far. I would post pics, but I have yet to re-assemble it all.

Do you have a link to the Ebay site you bought the all black carpet. I thought of dyeing my carpet black but its alot of work. My grey carpet is really dirty. I redid my roof headliner in all black as well. I'll post pics if I find them.

Ok found them. Basically I redid the roof in Black marine vinyl, painted the lower half of the dash board red with brake lever. Other parts like the visors I just painted with fabric dye than masked the visor to paint the little mirror doors. I also painted the area where the gas & trunk switch is on the floor. The door area around the speakers were a task. Alot of masking because you cannot take it apart. You can see that all plastic parts on the roof was painted as well. The sun roof doors I ripped the fabric off and painted them with Black Epoxy paint. That stuff took a week to fully cure but its scratch resistant. (The paint used to paint house stoves)

If you do it right I dont think it will look ricey. Im doing mine black/gray. just put in some black carpet from jcwhitney.com and redid the door inserts black with black vinyl. When I get my income tax refund im putting in new black lether seats. ill get some pics up when its done. Oh, also redid the headliner with black vinyl.

Just search ebay for "eclipse carpet"... About a million things will come up. I got a black pre-molded carpet on ebay for like $110 shipped and it fit perfectly.

Oh and about the interior painting, I remember a post a while back where one member painted his dash a glass black and actually molded some gauges into it as well. The thing looked awesome. If I were to paint my interior I would paint everything black and re-wrap my door inserts blue to match my gauges... But thats just me. Good luck
