i am looking to get a body kit and have narrowed it down to three different websites to order from (eracings, aerotrends, and visionautodynamcis) anyone who would like to make a suggestion about any of these places feel free to. i don't want to get stuck paying for something that took forever and a day to show up all $#@%$$ up looking. also should i get it painted first and then put it on or vice versa. and for someone(me) who has never put one on before, could i do it myself or should i pay to have it put on? if i do it myself i have all the tools and a hydraulic lift to get it done. thanks guys

I don't know about those 3 places you metioned so I won't comment on that.

As far as the install goes. you could install the kit without even jacking up the car. I can pull my front bumper off in 10min. You only need basic hand tools to install.

money for the kit and to have it painted isn't a problem, i am going to do it all in one shot. besides, i can't stand it when i see the same car driving around for two or three months with a primed body kit on it. just kind of tells me they are trying to show off that they got a kit. no offense to anyone that has done that before, i know how times can be when money is tight. and i looked at wholehyper.com and reading their disclaimer kind of made me sketchy, seems like they get a lot of customers that aren't happy with their kits.

i decided on staying with the stock body and spending the money on engine mods. i think i'll be a lot happier in the long run with a sleeper. i got smoked by a gsx a couple weeks ago that was white with black mirrors and black door handles. the guy even took of his rear window wiper off. i was shocked as hell when i caught up with him at a gas station after being left a the stoplight. talk about an ego buster! how would you feel staring at the bumper of a car with the same engine as you, while wonder what the @#$% just happened!

uhhh believe the GSX and GS/RS have different engines...

i know that the rs/gs and gst/gsx have different motors. but when you are looking at a car and it has black mirrors and black door handles with no rear window wiper, one would tend to think that it is an rs with the 420A motor in it, which i assumed. and since i didn't catch up with the guy till later down the road at a gas station, i was still under the impression that it was an rs while i was watching his tail lights get smaller and smaller.
