auto gage 5" tach on 93 tsi... where do i connect the signal wire?

I have an autogage 5" tachometer that I bought for cheap. I know where all the wires go except the signal wire (green one) because our cars our distributorless. Do any of you that installed a tachometer know where it connects to... any help would be great. thanks.
