hey guys i got my eclipse dvd player flip screen. pluss my alpine cd player, will a fm modulator work for the dvd flip screen even though there are 2 sets of audio cables and the fm modulator only comes with 1 set. how would i set that up... let me know

Yes the fm modulator is that thing that dimish the sound quality. I'm wondering how my mobile video will sound with my amp installed for my highs

an alpine to RCA adapter (assuming the Alpine is Ai Net) will allow you to connect a pair of RCAs from the DVD to the Alpine unit with practically no degradation of sound quality... (there is a little from dolby Digital conversion on the disc itself and then from downconverting the 5.1 tracks to stereo intead of just running digital 5.1!!!) It will be as good as any stereo dvd setup can be!

Well my other cars that had the fm modulator in them sound quality was bad when I was listening to my t.v audio but when there was a cd playing then it sounded better, but like I said I don't know how it would sound with a amp or a component set.

the "2" sets of audio cables from your dvd player should be the red/white rca audio. The FM modulator takes an 1/8" sterio plug. That's when a 2rca to 1/8" Stereo adapter comes in. The FM modulators make the sound from you DVD player a radio station in your car. The quality will be as good as a good FM station. Unless you have an auxillary in on your deck, you will have to use this option.

Its almost like the people that buy FM modulated CD changers. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

Attack Eagle is right, if possible, the best route to go is an RCA adaptor. Although most of the high end Alpine decks have an AUX imput on the back side of the deck, which you could run a line directly from the auxilary imput on the back to where ever you need it run.
