Anyone ever put an Avenger door on a Eclipse/Talon [Merged 7-9]

I saw a Dodge Avenger the other day and the door panels look very similar. I was wondering if they will bolt up with no modifications at all to my eclipse?

If they are differences can you please let me know what they are?

Thanks

I know the door handles are the same. If the dash is the same as our cars, I'd say yes. If not, the door panel will meet the dash differently, so no.

I think from the door panel up though is the same.

My friend has an avenger and the upper part of the dash looks to be identical... The lower part by the cd player is different though

They do look almost identical, they both have the AC vents in the door panels. I happen to think that the Avenger panels look nicer though. Anyway if anybody knows for sure if they will work, I would sure like to get a set of them.

Thanks

Yes they will fit. I have some in my car right now. The whole dash is basically the same until you get to the HVAC, then it gets a bit different.

Thanks a lot for that answer, now I can start looking for a pair. You guys have been a big help.

Those are the exact panels I want for my car...I like how they have the pocket on the bottom to hold stuff, mine doesn't have that. Also it looks like they have inserts on them, where mine is just a one piece panel. I have seen the inserts on the eclipse panels but they are all for ones with power windows, and I have manual. That helped alot

Thanks

Hey all

my 97 gsx needs a new drivers side door. a local salvage yard has one off of an avenger which he said will fit. can anyone confirm the doors are interchangeable, will they look the same once painted? fill me in

thank you

yeah, it will work... my local junkyard had black and tan power avenger door panels and sombody swiped them

Yea, mine do too. I've took a ride in my friends mom's avenger and they look exactly the same to me. There are quite a few similar parts on the interior of those cars (avengers, sebrings) THe only problem I see are the body moldings on the outside. I think avengers have those plastic parts on the outside much like the 97-98 talons. Not sure, but I think I remember seeing some with that.

Am I the only one who thought they were asking if a complete door was interchangeable, not just the door panel?

The actual door is the same. The interior door panel is different slightly.

I should know, I own a 95 tsi and a 96 avenger.

What exactly is different? The avenger I was in and my GSX looked exactly the same...not that I was studying them.

i did some searching here, and on google, just want to make sure of something.
i understand most of the interior pieces will fit right into our 2g cars.
i have a question, both of my doors are ####ed up, the windows inside, when raised half way the window is not stable, it wobles, so on highway it makes a whole lot of noise. i took apart the whole door, both of them actually, looked for ways to fix it, and did, for a few days at least, then back to the same shit. took it to local body shop, and another mechanic, both said either get all new shit inside, or find new doors.
so i am thinking of going to scrap yard and look around for some. my interior is ####ed on the doors too, cracked plastic, etc... anyways, my question is if i find an avenger or sebring, and interior and the door looks same as our cars, will i be able to disconnect the whole door, and put it on my car? will it bolt right in? does anyone know?
also, how hard would it be to take the whole door off, i figure it's not that hard, i took apart most of it on mine by myself, without a manual, but i didn't disconnect the actual door from the body. anyways, any help appreciated.
what i plan to do, if they fit, is to take the doors, convert everything to black (interior) if i have to, and prep the outside for paint, i am going to paint my car sometime next year anyways, so i need to find these damn doors, cus the whole assembly will cost too much to replace for me than getting it at junk yard, and i doubt there is many 2gs laying around.

if the exterior doesnt match up with my talon, then maybe i'll rip out the door, take it home, take off interior, window, and all the mechanism inside, and replace it inside my door. anyways any advice or anyone who may have knowledge of this is greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys!

There is a REAL easy fix for that window wobble. It's just a Plastic/Metal clip that needs squeezed together with a pair of Vise grips or pliers.

First you will have to remove the door panel. Then take out the speaker. Now plug the door panel back in so you can roll the window down till you see a white plastic clip attached to the glass that the track rides in. Now Reach in through the speaker hole and grab the clip with Pliers and squeez the shit out of it. This will clamp the clip tighter on the track.

You may have to squeez it a few times, and test it before you put the door panel back on.
