anybody have pics of their cars in total primer??? im thinking about a grey primer and then clear coat for my car. nothing fancy , but imo i think they look nice when done well. :dsm:

You want to prime your car then shoot it with a coat of clear? Am I understanding this correctly?

If ya wanna go sleeper put some spray paint on it. And some kmart spinners.

yea i guess i could just paint it grey, but that be more expensive. and would it look somewhat the same if i cleared coated the primer with the gloss??? i see kandys and other paint schemes all tha time, and to me that got pretty old. they are nice but , i wana be the odd ball. and now that im thinking about it, it would be a nice sleeper bwuahahaha

check out the sti they did in one of those tuner magazines. Its black primer and looks decent.

heres the thing it going to cost money either way, so why dont you just go to an automotive supply place get some decent paint and spray it you self. I mean your already going to prime and clear it . Why not just spray a color and be done and not have your car look like it wasnt finish. paint isnt that expensive as long as it doesn't have any red in it. you could easly spray a color and clear coat for under 500. just have to put the time into it. just remember anyone can put paint on a car it the prep that count. plus its not like you will dissipointed if the paint doesnt come out right, you want to leave it primed :thumbdown

62-1 gsx. Haven't seen him in awhile, but maybe he got his car painted. It looks mean either way.

Don't do it. It looks like ass. This is my old 1G Talon. Isn't primer but same thing. Flat Black all blacked out

Been there done that. This was over a year ago. It's played out now.

The picture of the car when it was silver was badass. I wish I would just went to a body shop and just painted my rear quarter panels to match the Stock Silver. I was dumb to do it Flat Black. But it kind of grew on me. But someday I will own another 92 Talon that will be Silver. I have yet to see a Talon that color in person.

it was sport compact car magazine, i agree it was pretty shweet. if u want that flat primer look dont put a clear coat on, sounds rediculous i know but it will make it shiny and it wont b the flat color youre after. i like flat black rather than grey but whatever works.

I wouldn't clear it if I were you. If you are planning to use just aerosols i would just go with a flat color. Gloss paint shows up all the imperfections, flat won't.

flat WILL show imperfections just not as bad. spray cans will run also. if you use flat colors then you will need to be wary of coverage problems, read up on it....if you can
