my ultimate 1g setup

first off the mods

custom projectors (i hate the stock blurry headlights)
carbon fiber hood (lighter weight simply
carbon fiber 1g replica wing (this is my ultimate goal and i intend to start experimenting with making one in fiberglass first)
finally a set of fender flares like in the last pic. (i'm not that good at p-shop yet to be making custom flares on my car)
of course i'd then have to step up to some wider rims and some wider tires to fill said flares.

all the mods would be reasonably functional since stock dsm headlights suck and mine are not nearly as clear as i'd like them. the wing would be cosmetic only, but liek i said, i intend to make a mold for it and do it myself (maybe the hood too). depends on how skilled i get working with fiberglass. onto the pics

Let me know if you come up with a projector headlight solution. I hate my cloudy factory units and would consider switching if they had more light output and didn't look too ricey.

I'd be interested in buying parts from you (provided they are well made, of course).

That second picture is what I want my next DSM to look like - red with black top and tint, black wheels with a chrome lip. The flares look pretty good too.

How about coming up with some interior fiberglass parts, like a turbo timer mount for above the rearview mirror (I want to put a Blitz FATT up there). Just mold it into the plastic headliner trim.

whoaa whhoaa whoaa, i am still a full time college student, with a 20+ hour a week job, and a girlfriend. not to mention a broke-dick dsm that hasn't run for more than 3 months in a row for over a year due to me slowly breaking all the old crusty parts.

if and when i get around to doing something it'd be n a very slow timetable and i wouldn't accept any money before i made it that way i wasn't holding up people's cash flow. i still need to due some practicing with fiberglass as well and will probably make at least 2 wings like that before i considered spending the money on carbon fiber weave.

thanks for all the positive responses, i still need to get some other things straightened out such as my tranny and fmic, but then afterwards i'll probably get started on this along with my dad. i'm hoping to start making up a mold for the wing by december.

word! 1G rules all. i got a 1G talon and im gonna put a streetweapon kits drift kit on it and altezzas and new headligths and black carbon hood. i found one for ours once but i forgot where it was. im prolly gonna stop when i get a stage 2 turbo of some kind and venom perfomance chip. no NOS for me. . the interior looks like this so far. sony xplode 5-1/4 in the front 6x9's in the back all built in and no subs cause i just sold them. ill prolly get an alpine r-15 and run abouty 1000watts to it. who knows. im working on a website too. so ill have pic on there soon

I like the Idea, but IMO i think carbon fiber doesn't look good. If I were to do that, I'd get the hood painted. Oh, and I'll worry about the cosmetics of my car AFTER I get a turbo 4G63. (I have the 1.8)

well what i don't like about alot of the carbon fiber you see around here is the "glossy" look it has. i like it when its sort of a dull/textured look to it.

i dont see anything wrong with it, i think all things should be supported. your car should be an extension of yourself, not something you build to please other people or drive around to race hondas and mustangs. support thoughts and ideas even if they arent your own

Makes sure you do your research before trying any of those mods. since there is not staged turbos for a 1G N/T.

Mavisky........The project looks tight. You get props man for being extremely innovative especially on our older 1G DSM's. Projector like headlights and wheel flares would look great. My Talon too is down until income tax return time, but before it went down it got me all the way from Cleveland, Ohio to Miami, Florida and back before the tranny died. Keep up the good work.

that's fantastic, but unless its a chip from tmo it doesn't accomplish #@%#@%#@%#@% since all the chips get overrun by the knock sensor and everything anyways.
