I'd think they would fit, but look at the specs for aftermarket rims for an s2000 and see if they're similar to a dsm. If they are, i'd gander they will fit.

I hope they are 5-lug, I thought just the Honda SUV's and Vans were 5-lug. Get a picture up of them, that would help. And, no I don't think they will rub, but take me seriously.

I tried putting my dads on just for kicks. The front wheels would definately rub without spacers. They were barely touching the suspension just sitting in the driveway. I have no idea about the back wheels offset but i would imagine they would be worse (i'm pretty sure the wouldn't even be able to bult on). This is the 2000- (2003?) 16's. I don't know if the new 17's have the same width and offset. Even if they do fit, you will need to find two sets since they are staggard. This is on a 2g btw.

the 2004s have 17s, but even the 16s in 2000 - 2003 are not as light as a good performance wheel. Plus the fitment issue, its not worth is imo

why would it require alot of work??? You can buy wheel spacers that are simple bolt ons... not too hard... it will just cost you some of that pocket change for your carribean vacation... I think if you like the rims enough, its worth it, specially if you already have the rims...

One problem is you need two sets. They have a different size in the rear. I would imagine the front would be used but either way, i don't think you will find just two front wheels twice. You would either have to buy two sets or piece a set together one by one.

does anybody know if 17' inch s2k rims will fit my 1990 laser rst??? must be positive on your answer, please dont just guess... i searched this and half the people in the thread said it would work and the other half said it wouldnt so if anybody knows FOR SURE if they would fit without spacers or anything like that please let me know!!... and yes i am prepared for the flaming....


also ive only had my DSM for a few days... it has 160,000 miles and ive done the proper tune up(oil, plugs, wires, checked timing belt, checked boost leak, ect.).

i already have a boost gauge.... any recomendations for free or cheap mods?? keep in mind 160,000 miles....

Do a search on the free and cheap mods. There is an entire write up on it that is pretty detailed and informative. It will definitely start you off in the right direction. Also from one noob to another it's always a good idea to search first then if you can't find it ask.

Very high offset and they are staggered wheels so you'd need two sets of wheels. The hub bore on the S2000 wheels is larger in the front that in the rear so only the front wheels may fit, which are unfortunately skinnier than the rears.

i have a guy trying to sell me the rims and he said they were on his 95 tsi but he only has tires one the first two(i was wondering why and asked him).... hes saying the fronts and rears were on his car.... think he is lying??...this is the same guy that sold me the car and ive quickly found out he is a bullshiter so it wouldnt suprise me.....


and i found out there 16 inch rims not 17 inch.....

Staggered refers to the wheels having a different offset in the back. This is why you would need two sets to make one set for your car. I know nothing about the S2K wheels but an example would be if the fronts were 17X8 with a 30 off set and the backs were 17X8 with a 35 offset

I would find something else. Like 2gb gst wheels. They look kinda the same as AP1 S2000 wheels, but without the hassle.

Yep, I'm 99% sure the rear wheels center bore size would be too small. In addition to the crappy offset.

well i called the guy back mand told him i dont want the rims for obviouse reasions and he told me he has spacers for the rear rims and they fit his 95 tsi just fine so im just gonna jack the car up and make sure they fit before i actually pay himm.....

Just sold it last night!

Only reason I know this stuff about those wheels is because I wanted to put the dsm wheels on it and take it for a ride.
