ok....im going to take out my cigerette lighter and replace it with a gague. no not a boost gague to be ricey. i was thinking about putting a tachometer their so i could see the revs. i think it sounds kool but where can i buy a tach gague that small? i know i will have to use a dremel tool to make the cig whole bigger to hold a gague.

i seen a small tach when i was at pep boys the other day. it looked like it would fit perfectly. i don't think it would be ricey if you put a boost gauge there. infact, that's a good idea.

Uh, isn't it much easier to look at the big tach in your gauge cluster just below your field of view than to look near your radio for a small tach? IMO, that IS ricey, you already have a tach. A shift light or even a blinky A/F meter is a better option.

maby it seems ricey, but ricey to me would be putting a boost gague because i dont have a turbo.

just curious... why do you want a tach in such a low position? like others said... it's easier to see a tach when it's in your sight, rather than having to look down. To me, it is pointless to look down to see my tach, if it's that low. since you already have one in front of you.

How about if you get a gauge like, fuel pressure, oil pressure, etc???

the tach was the first idea that poped in my head. i just dont want gagues in my car that people will say "oh why do you have those gagues and no turbo?" im also trying not to be ricey but in the process other think i am so maby i will just keep the cig lighter.

gauges arent ricey dude

get the whole ricey thing out of your head and do whats best for your car

maybe you need to read all the previous posts... he doesn't have a turbo, so one was saying it's ricey to put a boost gauge there... then i said to put other gauges... since it morelikely will be pointless to put a tach gauge in the cig lighter place. i know guages aren't ricey, if you need them... but if you just put ten gauges that you don't even need, i consider them pointless, or trying to catch more attention for the show.

as for doing what's best for the car, that's why i recommanded him to put guel pressure gauge, etc. it still might be pointless, since he might not be able to see it when he's too bust looking at his tach, speedo, etc.

hell yea.. ur gonna put a gauge..esp one thats a rpm one down there by the radio. you get those gauges to better see ur revs.. it ruins the whole purpose if you put it there.. ull be busy looking down there that you wont see the road. im agianst it...
