^^^^^^^yeah i'd like to know too^^^^^^^^^

went to several places and gave me different estimates for the Responder: between $500-$800

and i wanted the Aladdin System first but then if you get a professional to install it they can't guarantee it will work.

Responder > Aladdin

IMO, it just looks cooler :thumb:

i just got a simple Code proF10 and it works great. doors lock when you start the car and unlocks when you turn off the ignition. honks and parking lights blink when you arm and disarm the alarm. it's simple but yet it works

I have a responder system by viper/DEI ordered. It's on backorder until november, which really sucks. My old alarm died. My car has been broken into b4, so I can't really go anywhere that involves being out of sight.

There is someone or a group of people in my town who are breaking into a lot of DSM's. I really need to get a better alarm...that responder looks great. I always wondered why car alarms don't notify you if the alarm goes off.

On a side note: if anyone knows about the person/people where I live who thinks it's funny to steal stuff off of DSM's...please let me know.

because it'll cost more...

for those who are unfamilar:
the dealer i have selling responders says the radius is not accurate...well on any pager alarm system the signal from the car to the pager is cut in half when you're in a building...

so basically it works best when you're out to dinner or at the movies...

not when you're on college campus/(maybe high school) due to the thicker walls, distance, etc.

but i'd still get it :thumb:

oh....they say clifford can be upgraded to use the responder too

Wrong quote.. I mean the alarm SOURCE1064 is talking about. ;)

The guy I ordered mine from told me $499 plus install. The first one I'm getting is going in my Expedition. It is shipping out at the end of this month so I'll get it installed in 2 weeks or so. I have a no name brand in my truck and it's the biggest pos ever. It goes off all the time. I turned it off the dam thing overided me turning if off and locked me out of my truck. I have an old viper in my Eclipse. It has the nuisance thing which turned the alarm off when it was broken into since it went off three times within an hour. I'm making sure that isn't on when I have the new viper alarm installed in my Eclipse. I also have the inside motion sensor which is awesome, if you keep your windows down or have a convertible and someone sticks their hands in the inside of your car it sets the alarm off. Be ware of no name brands, it is work the $ if you have piece of mine that your car won't be stolen.

I'm all about the responder! I also like that this one can beep or vibrate.
