yea driver side door speaker goes in and out, mostly out tho. the dash works. where are the connections for the speaker wiring? the wiring diagram in haynes manual i think says there is 2? hmm where? under the dash, in the console, before the door, or in the door? i wanted to just run new wires to all cuz i put a new head unit in and couldnt use a harness and didnt wanna cut the factory anymore than for the accessory power. i ran a new main power with speaker wire and a 10amp fuse LOL. any help would be great!

Does that mean you ran new speaker wire? If so, recheck your connections.

If not, recheck your HU connections and/or plan on buying new speakers.

Sorry, I can't help much for such an ambiguous description. Type with correct grammar next time!

well when i first got the car that speaker would only work sometimes. i only ran new wires to the rear speakers, and have not cut the factory harness yet for the fronts. i also ran a new constant 12+ using speaker wire and a 10amp fuse from the battery thru the steering boot to the hu.

when my power door locks were going nuts i noticed that it would happen most when the door was being opened or closed... take off the door panel, pull out the wire harness after unplugging all the connectors and carefully removing all the clips. Check the wire harness for cracked insulation. I had this and fixed everything up and haven't had any problems since. f this doesnt solve your problem, the door is already open and you can run new speaker wires.

crap. you say it's in the door? i tried taking off the panel before and kept cracking it LOL. i got the other one off quite easily to adjust the window though. wheres it at? right after the boot or w/e that runs right into the door? is it very accessible once the panel is off or is it tucked up in the door frame? thanks

It's tucked in there pretty good, but once you disconnect all the connectors and pull out all the clips holding the wire harness, you can pull all the wires out where the boot is to get a closer look

O YEA! i forgot the driver rear speaker was also intermittent, i forgot because i ran new speaker wire. so therefore its before the door right? the dash speaker is fine tho. is there a connector before the door that would have the rear wire too? before i switched head units sometimes if id push on the hu really hard the speakers would sometimes play.
