Oh my god. You just gave me an awsome idea. I never noticed how symetrical the bracing was under there. I guess I never spent enough time staring at the bottom of my hood.

thanks I'm planning on doing it soon I was kinda unsure on how it looks but i think it look's alright and should work good... dang it get hot under there!

edit: I don't have much experience w/snips some tips would be helpfull, don't pull up or push down you said... anything else?

I would just get a scrap piece of sheet metal and try a couple straight lines and curves. Their pretty easy so after that you should have a good idea what your doing.

what is the trim you are using and where did you get it?

it is just door edging. the stuff that you put on your car door so that when you swing it open carelessly you dont scratch the car next to you.

i got mine at carquest. it seems to be the choke point with this little mod; everyone has trouble finding it. just ask your local auto parts store if they have rubber door edging and describe what it does to them. if their heads arent too far up their asses they will lead you to it

if you're brave you could use the other sections, but they start intersecting the hood bump, so i dont know how well that would turn out...

do I have to cover the inside of the hood where the vents are with somethign for protection, or can I leave it open?
