Car Audio Cable Lengths

Hey guys, I am trying to install an Alpine 4 channel amp, I am not new to car audio install but I would like to know how long of cable I need to go from the front of the car to the trunk. Thanks!

Well, if you carefully run it down side of the center hump, under the carpet of course, then you will need no more than 13 ft. I never go short on cable, just incase you need to put the amp(s) in the rear of the car. If you are going to the rear, you might just want to take a tape measure out and measure it. Remember to leave a foot or so behind the deck and at where your amp goes, so you don't end up putting stress on the cables. And please do not run them with your power wire, I hate it when people do that.

get some string and run it where your wires will go then mesure the string

Thanks guys, and I know better then to run RCA with power cable, I am planning on runing the wire on opposite sides of the car, down the wire channels under the door sills. I am thinking about 16ft should be enough and give me some extra.

Yeah, I used 20 and that was abig mistake, I have like 4 feet of slack, and my stuff is all the way in the hatch.

I used a pair of 20 or 25ft spare rca's I had for mine and it was so overkill it was almost funny. I bet I have 10 feet + of slack under my rear seat. 15 will be more than enough.
