My HVAC lights don't light up anymore, they all just went out all at once, because they all worked before, then one day when I turned my car on, they weren't on. Anyways, is there a fuse I should be looking for?

I dunno if this helps..

But when I had my Civic the lights would go out sometimes and all I did was bang the dash and they'd turn back on! ahha miracle.. well obviously a wire was loose somewhere back there.. might be the same thing.. not a fuse.

No, that will not work in my case...

Anybody else have any input on my problem?

did your cluster lights die too or just the hvac lights?

It may be a single bulb lighting up the entire hvac (they did it in the 2g) so if that bulb died, you'd lose the lights on the entire unit.

Every other light works (including cluster). It's just the heater knobs and rear defog button and wiper button that don't work.

My hvac did the same thing. The lights just went out all of a sudden but nothing else did. Then one time while I was driving I changed the temp from cold to hot...kinda in a hurry and the lights turned back on. So, everytime they go out, I give it a good hit and they come back on LOL. If its like mine, give it a good hit and see if they come back on :thumb: If not, then I dont know what to say but tell me what you did if you find a fix

Mine did the same thing last winter, and I haven't tried to figure it out yet... Kinda annoying though trying to change stuff in the dark, hehe. I also think that my rear defroster doesn't work at all now because of it, not just not light up.

Those lights are on the same circuit as the gauge cluster so if it was a fuse or the dimmer they would all be out. Since this in not the case you probably have a loose connector. You'll have to pull it apart to properly fix/diagnose the problem. Hope you don't have big plans for your Saturday.

looks like alot of people had this problem? i do to LOL. i did do what someone said, turning it from hot to cold and they turned on. i was on a trip somewhere and by the time i got there the lights were off again. the only recent things i have done are:

install safc
install a/f gauge

im assuming me taking out the radio and bezels and shit has done something. anyways if i find a fix ill post it. peace

I know this thread is old, but I thought i'd post incase anyone else had the same problem. My hvac lights would sometimes come on, usually when i went over a bump in the road or something. It was very frustrating not being able to see the heater controls at night so today, I decided to tear the hvac out and investigate. My issue was only the bulb. I went to the local auto parts store and purchased a new one (#74) and it fit like a glove and worked like a charm. On my bulb there was a little orange cover, i just slid that off the old bulb and put it on the new one.
I hope this helps anyone trying to fix their problem.
