I am so confused! Please Help!!

I have a pair of 6.5 speakers for my front that i had in my old DSM. I now have a 2g and they won't fit in the front door panels. I have the infinity sound system. Looking around these boards everyone says that the speakers are 6.5's in the front. But my 6.5's won't fit. Anyone know why??

How do you mean they won't fit? Are the holes too big for the speakers? or vice versa?

Sorry. Yea, the holes are to big for the speakers. The screw holes are not even CLOSE to matching up.

The factory speakers are 6 3/4", not 6.5" like most believe. Luckily for me, I had a pair of old 6 3/4" laying around the house that I used the grill to make a mounting plate for my new 6.5. Good luck with the install.

Thanks. I had a hunch they were 6 3/4. but i was confused b/c everyone here said they were 6.5's!!
