Hey everyone! I would really like to polish my valve cover, and lots of other things, and was wondering if any knows how to do it? also, what materials will I need? I have a professional shop, so i've got about every tool you can imagine... I just need to know how to do it? thanks!

A smorgusborg of sand paper and more elbow grease then you would like. A (at least) 5k rpm buffer 2 pads (wool) and go from there. If you want to get rid of casting marks I use a D.A. to start then hand sand. Remember after you sand it down going from 400ish grit up to 2140 grit, use some polish and rub the polish in with the sand paper real good. Then hit it with the buffer. 1000000000 hours later you should have a nice looking clean as can be valve cover.

MOST IMPORTANT---- Only tighten it down to 2-4 lbs of torque. It would be hell to do all that work and crack it putting it back on! ;)

I sell/ trade polished valve covers.
