I'm planning on putting in some new interior lights in my car, because I'm pretty sick of the orange. Here's the questions:

How do I take off the switches/buttons on the console?

How do I take apart the gauge cluster to put lights in back there?

How do I put a different colored light in the cigarette lighter?

Is taking off the heating/AC control unit thing the same as taking off the other switches and buttons?

Yeah, I sound like a noob, because quite frankly, I don't like tinkering around the interior of my car :|

Yes, to take off the buttons you have to take off the heating/AC console and then from the back take the screws that are holding the switches and buttons. Be real careful with the ring around the buttons, it breaks very easily. To take off the gauge cluster you must first take out the 2 screws that are holding the heating/AC console and the gauge cluster together, then take the two screws that are in an angle inside the gauge cluster. If I remember correctly there are 2 more screws by the steering wheel, 1 in each side. After that you can take out the piece that is covering the gauge cluster. Then you will see 4 screws that are holding the gauge cluster, take them out. Disconnect all the adapters and the gauge cluster should come right out.
Hope this helps

ok i just changed all my lights in my car to blue it is a b!tch but it looks really good, you have to take the whole dash off, as for the gauges you have to change the faces to change the color of them, same with the cigaret lighter it has a colore ring aroung it that is orange. be really carfule when taking the swithces apart there are alot of little pieces, i have to buy a new hazard light switch now. but the switches are pretty easy to take apart you just have to releace the clips holding them together and to put new lights in them you have to solder them in, i went to radio shack and got leds to put in if you want the part # i can give them to you well if you need any more specifics just say so i hope this will help you a little, good luck and be carefull
