when i put a wire connection from the battery to the amp, where does the wire go from the bettery? how do i get it into the car? i can't find a good source, or can i just find a "hot wire" (that has bben plugged into the battery) and use that? thanks

dont piggy-back off of a wire for the main power to your amp. do like mentioned in the previous post. run it thru the firewall directly from the battery. wouldnt hurt to upgrade the wire from your alternator to the battery either.

I bought a Xplod 760W amp for a 15inch I have and all I did was hook it to the battery then poke it through the heat shield then took off the console and put it under that and then under the back seats then between them and it works great don't even notice it at all. I also have the ground and the wire going to my cd player along with the one from the battery in with it.

i put mine through the hole on the side of the car where the wires go into the door i did not wana drill into my car so i did it this way

definetly run a wire from the battery to the amp direct with a fuse. how big is the amp? how big is the wire? the ground just has to be to peice of metal that is joined to the frame. if there is any paint, grind it off so theres a good connection. im sure that theres already a whole in the firewall where all the wires for the power to the inside are but if u cant find that then drilling a well fitted whole is the way to go. you could run it under the carpet without noticing it
