I have a pioneer deh-3500 headunit and well I switched everything from my neon to my talon but for some reason my outputs for my amp arnt working for some reason, after the switch everything else works. Is there anyway to get around this. I know there is a way to hook amps up to stock headunit with out hookups but I just dont know how. I know my fair share of car audio I just dont know how to do this. before anyone asks all settings are correct and have tested amps on other cars and they work and have checked the wiring 3 times any help would be great, thanks!

You're speaking of your line level RCA output, right? Have you tried different RCA cables? How do you know the stereo is putting out any sound? Are you SURE there aren't settings that turn off the RCA's after the stereo is reset?

the subwoofer controls are on and there is a setting for aux on/off and i turned it on too. All the speakers work so all I think I can do Is tap into one of the speakers but I dont know how to do that. the cables worked in my neon, but that is something easy I should try.

yes power light turns on but its not getting any sound and I hooked up a nother amp and it dose the same thing so its not the amp.

You haven't mentioned using a different pair of RCA cables. Have you tried that?

I am out of ideas. Either you've done something wrong or it's time to take it to the repair shop.

Good luck!

Okay.. your original post is making my head spin.

Are you sure you have the right harness adapter for your DSM?

Makes absolutely no sense that everything would work in your Neon but not your DSM.

I bet you have things hooked up wrong on the DSM.

Make sure the headunit has a good ground on the DSM. Recheck all of your wires. Most importantly, take some time off away from the car and get back to it with a fresh head. I know from experience that when you try too hard, you ended up repeating the same mistake over and over without ever realizing it until the next day.

Don't bother hooking up the stock headunit to aftermarket amps. Not worth the time.
