Hey guys, I'm not really into the spoiler that came on my 95 Talon
You must be logged in to view this image or video.

I'm guessing there are gonna be holes left from removing it, is there any way to cover them up cleanly without painting the whole hatch?

Alot of people around here just used some tape that matches the color of the car :D It's not that bad unless you go up close to it.

I guess it's better then paying 300+ to have it covered and painted.

I may have what u are looking for,

what do u think of a carbon fiber hatch finished like a hood? with no spoiler holes init and weight savings too!

or they come in fiberglass ready to be painted

email me for details these hatches only weigh 8-12lbs and are top quality

same way any other hatch would it,by usgins bracing technology in the mold process and other tricks the manufacturere picked up over the years. it is setup to have th factory glass installed ,

we have had a hatch installed and been ina daily drive for almost 4 years now and no problems as of yet.... and that particular car isn't driven all the nice setup with very harsh suspension...

I have some black plugs I bought at Pep Boys on my Talon from taking the wing off. All in all, there are quite a few holes. 3 big ones and a few little ones (if i remember correctly.) Also, you will have to take the rear wiper motor assembly completely off.

My advice is to measure the holes and buy plugs according to the size. I knew the measurements but I have forgotten them. (That's how long my hatch has been ghetto LOL). It will keep rain out and a few people (ricers) have followed in my footsteps, actually thinking the car looks 'tyte' like that.

I told them it keeps the rain out!:D

Another thing that can look nice is buying an aftermarket (not F&F style) wing and putting it on with your stock wing. I have seen a few like that, looks cool and no ghetto holes.

Thanks for all the replies guys, but the main reason I want to take it off was because the paint on it is peeling and fading. It starting to look ugly. And I'm determined not to get a paintjob until my car runs at least mid 13s, haha. I tried taking it off yesterday and figured it was just too much trouble worry about the plugs, the wiper, etc etc. So I just put it back on. Whats this carbon fiber hatch though? Got any pics, might look ok with a carbon fiber hood.

Where do you guys find these plugs? I went to murys, autozone, home depot, sears and none of them had anythign like it

imagine your stock hatch with no wing or wiper and thats what it looks like witha nice clear coat on it..

for details email me
they come in fiber glass or carbon fiber
and the stock glass needs to be installed on it though..

The plugs aren't designed for this application LOL. I don't remember what they are supposed to be for, but they are little black plugs that sink down into the hatch... but they fit pretty nicely. I bought mine at Advanced Auto Parts.

Just look around the store for something close to what I'm talking about.. they were in a small red package with a clear plastic cover.
