thought crossed my mind getting that alarm...until this thread...

i think i'll stick to the Viper and Clifford pager systems...and as long as you purchase and install it at a professional place they'll be a warranty if there are any problems.

sure you can install it or have someone else install that alarm system for you...but they won't put a warranty on their work.

must admit the alarm is sic...but Viper and Clifford (as well as others) are soon to be releasing their newer alarm pager models at the start of 2003.

if you're gonna install the alram yourself...ebay's the way to go. they're cheap enough where you really don't have to worry about it screwing up. plus, i've rarely seen an alarm screw up...personally it's not something i would worry about.

having it professionally installed is great, if you're willing to pay $100-$200 in addition to the alarm itself.

on a side note...an expensive alram seems like a waste to me. to a skilled car theif or someone who just really wants to get in your car...an alarm is nothing. no one pays attention to them and there's millions of ways around them. technically speaking, if i saw something i wanted in your car, i could break the window take it and be gone in under 30 seconds...how's an alarm gonna stop that? what you need is a pitbull:p

With my insurance company you can get a discount if you have an alarm system, so that's another plus.

I don't think my poodle would be much of help, it would just beg them to be petted.. heh

i have the aladdin a 2000 model sittin in my 96 rs, as well as in my 94 integra and a friend of mine has one as well,it works great, i love it. and it actually has a turbo timer function unlike some of the other 2ways where it has a pitstop function then you have to remember to turn off your car or else you come out after work and find that you are out of gas! arrggg. but thats just my opinion on it and i do have a good bit of experience with it now.
