Bodykit info...

Hey, I'm just wondering...

What are the measurements of the 1gb bodies/bodykits compared to the 2g bodies/bodykits... I was looking at the Cyber kit, and I'd love to get that sucker to fit on my car. I want to know what kind of modifications I will have to do to the kit to get it to fit... I know that the grille piece between the headlights is gonna have to come down more, and the whole thing might have to be widened/narrowed in the front/back, and maybe the same on the skirts, but I was just curious as to how much fiberglass headache I'm looking at.

It's gonna cost you more money than it's worth. Plus isn't there already a cyber kit for the 1g?

no, and Fiberglass is cheap... I can patch and mod the bodykit for about $20 bucks... plus the $300-$500 for the kit itself.

Trust me, I am an experienced fiberglasser... since the 5th grade, I've been fiberglassing... I'm past senior year now. I'm experienced in fiberglassing... hell, I'm going to start building Isuzu bodykits this fall/winter to raise money for the Laser, and maybe some DSM kits too!

no offence...but if your so good at it then why do you care what the measurements are? you should be able to modify it with out a problem

okay...well if that kit doesnt fit your car, it also wont fit a 92-94 being the cars are the same sizes and dimensions. the only reason the kit shouldnt fit your car perfectly is because of your popup headlights and diffrent fenders. other then that, the kit should fit. seems the kit has bad fitment problems and need to be cut down alittle.

maybe explain your problem alittle better, i can help you out.

This thread is like when a car accident occurs and youre sitting there wondering what the hell just happened, and then across the intersection another one occurs just before you finish gawking at the first one.

This guys talking about his kit and we're starting to get a little information and working out ideas, then BAM!!!! out of nowhere another guy totally takes the thread and runs with it... not making fun of anybody but i laughed really hard about this and i haven't all night.

I want the measurements so that I know how much fiberglassing I have to do. And I want to know the main differences in the body shape, so that I know how I will have to fsck with it.


Also, thanks for the thread hijacking, Disturbed-TSI... but there's actually a post on this forum that will help you out... (Bodykit list, 56k death!)
