Well the lip on my rims are pretty jacked. I dunno why but I took steel wool to them in hopes of getting some caked up oil off but ended up making a whole section of the rim look all cloudy (hazy) and scratched up looking. Is there anything out there that you've used that'll restore the shine and remove the fine scratches?

I would say that unless you are pretty good with wetsanding, and a polishing wheels, I would take it to a rim repair shop if you like them enough. It can be about $50-75 per rim, but if you are strapped for cash, just rough up the lips on all 4 and they will look even.

Got dang! I was hoping there was some metal polish out there that would've down the trick. Well, that blows.

For minor scrapes manicure sanding apparatus (I'm sure there's an industry term for it) works pretty well. You know the popcicle sticks with sandpaper glued on? Start with a rough one then work your way up to the one that's like wet or dry 2000.

I need to know this as well. I slid into a curb over the Winter, and have some curb damage I'd like to get rid of. I'd like to do my wheels gunmetal with a polished lip, so how would I go about sanding the lip down and then polishing it again?
