Alright i'm sure this sounds like a real noob question however i'm not quite sure. here's the situation...back of the head unit: 2 holes for left, 2 for right(i''m assuming speakers??) the rca plugs on the amp are the exact same thing. the RCA's cables are black and red...one positive and one negative maybe? I'm not quite sure where to plug the black/red into the left or right jacks. Any help appreciated....thanks. BTW its a Sony headunit and Audiobahn A8000T monoblock amp if it matters.

That stuff all looks confusing especially using a cross over and multiple subwoofers. I just have one Solo-baric, one mono block amp, and the sony head unit. I THINK I gathered that I use the rear outputs on both the head unit and the amp, right? However the RCA's are red and black...the jacks on the amp and headunit are white and red. I guess black goes to white and red goes to red??

im assuming you have front and rear rca's, so i would use the rear rca's, and put them to the amp...for the actual cable, use red cable for red jacks, and black cable to white jacks, it dont really matter, you can put them on any way, just put pos to pos, and neg to neg

No, I don't have front and rear. I have L and R rca's....and upon closer examination the right ones are red, and left ones are black.....I dont know what to do.

the back of the headunit has two sets of rca's. Each set contains one red and one black or white. For the amp, it should have an input RCA plug in with one red and one black or white. Hook up the RCA's from the back of the deck to one red, and its partner the black one. They should be right next to each other, usually one right below the other vertically (if they are just plugs , not wires hanging down). If they are wires with RCA plugs on them, they should be connected in pairs, one red to one black or white. Simply said, hooking up to both red RCA's will not do anything. If you can send a picture or let me know which Sony deck it is, I could help you a little better. Good luck bro, hope this made sense. :thumb:

sorry, i misunderstood, i thought you meant you had two SETS as in 2 left, and 2 right...but just go red to red, black to black

^ Yes, I do have two sets of each side. HOwever after reading the manual(duh) one set is a low input and the other is a high output...or something to that extent. I just ran my wires and had my friend who knwos what they're doin come over to hook the shit up for me. I hate electronics and any kind of wiring. :thumbdown
