clear coat in a can

I have a black 99 eclipse and the roof and hood have the egshell cracks. My clear coat is fading off. I was wondering if I could use clearcoat in a spray can as a temporary fix so it doesnt look so shity. Oh that is after I do light wetsanding job on it.

Temporary fix, yes. It might look worse. Maybe only slightly better. I'd just wait it out and repaint or have it recleared.

Half-assed paint repair just never looks any better than half-assed. It usually winds up looking even worse.
