Body kit mod

I was reading up on body kits for the 1g Eagle Talons on extremedimensions.com and they say the Talon's require some modifcation to fit. Has anyone had to do this, and if so how much and what was required to make them fit?

have you ever looked at the rear tailights of a 92-94 talon as compared to a 92-94 eclipse or laser?
if you havent, heres whats diffrent.
The center section of the talon tails dips down so that the licence plate fits in there. where as the eclipse licence plate is obviously down closer to the bottom of the bumper.
Therefor the top edge of the bumper on an eclipse is straight across, the talons is cut down in the middle to fit around the center tailight section.
what you would have to do to fit talons would be to cut out for the center section and then fiberglass a little shelf in there to make it look right under that center section.
Also once you are done doing that, you will have two places to put licence plates since the body kit comes with a licence plate area, where the eclipse bumpers would normally have it.
So you would have to fiberglass over that as well.
The most common solution to the body kit fitment on a 1g talon is to switch to eclipse tails (all 3 peices) and then run the wires down next to the licence plate for the plate light and back up lights.

Thanks. Is there any modifcation that needs to be done to the front bumper since my car will have the pop up headlights? heres what bodykit I plan to get.

please consider a differnt front bumper,

for a 92-94 talon no the front will not need any modifications same front as eclipse.
However when you talk about a 90-91, you have 3 options.

Option 1 - With a little bit of custom fiberlglassing, you can get the front to fit a 90-91. The lights are alittle diffrent so a little bit of cutting and molding will need to be done. If you have fiberglassing experience, you can do it yourself, otherwise a custom shop would be able to make it work for you.

Option 2 - Bolt it on and ignore the gaps and stuff left behind by not fitting right.

Option 3 - Swap front ends. You can purchase a 92-94 hood, fenders and lights, then change the connectors for the lights, and you will basically have a 92-94 front end on a 90-91 vehicle. then the body kit will fit correctly. Or as close as it would on a 92-94
