painting middle section of tails

Okay, look at my sig and youll see i have the (rice) altezzas, but hey i love em, carbon fiber (lookalike), but all that matters is what i like, right?. well after being on this forum a while i realized that i really like when the middle section is painted. it just seperates the two tails, and makes it look smooth.

well, my plan is this: fiberglass over the hole for the key in the middle, (i just dont like it, dont ask why cause i dont know) then paint it and put the larger chrome mits emblem in the center,

i can do the fiberglassing, but im not so good at painting. i went to napa today to look for paint, the guy couldnt figure out what shade it was (its barcelona red pearl or some shit, looks purpleish maroon to me)

regardless, if he did find it, it would be in a can, and i would have to buy a compressor, paint gun, etc. and on top of that would probably have to find a place to paint it so i dont overspray on my lanlords house.

so, is there an easier way to do this? is there a way to get mixed paint in a aerosol can. or should i just contact a body shop,

got to your local paint store where you buy car paint and tell them what year you car is, they can look the exact color up if it is stock, and then say you want it in a can, it will still look good just make sure the surface is smooth. if it were me, i would just take the stock peice and sand it smooth, take the light out so nothing shines through and paint that,,,,,,,but i have a 1g and im going by what i think, so im not sure, im sure some 2g guys know of a peice that fits in there or where you can get one. you can always paint in the grass if you have to anyways, let us know how it turns out

Fiberglass and prep it and take it to a bodyshop. They will probably shoot it for 50 bucks or so.

sand and prime it then sand again, take it in to any body shop, 50 bucks they will spray it.
