Has anyone painted the middle section on 1gs?

I want to paint the middle section of the rear lights on my 1g talon. Anyone know how to take that out? Also I want to remove my stock wing... I think? Anyone have an opinion on after market wings for the 1g or any advice with either? let me know... thanks!

The late plymouth lasers had something like this. I know it's not exactly what you're looking for but it might give you an idea.

Thanks for the pics. I like it with it painted. Now all I need to know is how to remove that section.

Open the hatch and remove the plastic panel in the middle behind where the center piece is. There should 10mm bolts holding the piece in, remove them and pull off the center from the outside of the car.

Thank you soo much. I'm going to work on that tomorrow, but i looked back there and removed the center piece and found the bolts. You've been a grea help!
