ok heres the deal. Im a Nissan goober and i know nothing when it comes to eclipses and very little when it comes to car audio. Now, on the other hand my girlfriend is the proud owner of a 1998 GS with 4 blown infinity speakers. So heres where i need some help (and please dont answer tell her to take it to a professional becasue i think with your help this should be quiet easy.) ok, i bought her 4 pioneer's. here are the front ones link and here are the rear link . now here are my questions:

1. with eclipses, as you guys probably know, there is one black clip that has both the positive and negative wired into it and you just hook the plug to the speakers. with the pioneers you have to wired them seperately. so what do i do? just cut that connector thing off, then crimp the wires to the speaker?

2. on the pioneer speakers one of the pieces of metal where you hook the wires is small, one is large. which is positive and which is negative. and also how do i identify the wire in the car as positive and negative is one red and one black like it usually is?

3. how do i get that damn rear speaker cover off. i see that i have to remove that whole back panel, and i removed the screws but it wont come off.

that you so much guys. this is doing my girlfriend and i a favor so anyone that helps gets free nudes of her. OMG

:p

What I did was take the black connector off of the speaker and connect my wires to it, then connect the wires to the speaker I was replacing it with. If that makes sense. Haven't done it in a while so I don't really remember.

For the rear speaker cover, I'm not sure if it's the same for spyders as it is w/ the coupes, but I just stuck a flat head screwdriving under the cover and popped it out.

Now wheres my nude pics??

thank you SO much for the help. you just saved my ass. nudes are on the way. :thumb:

i just have one more small question then im set. both the front and back speakers came with 2 sets of wires. they hook to the terminals on 1 end then the other end is just bare wire ( where i will crimp it with the car wiring.) now in both case one is white and 1 is gray. but they look exactly the same. does it matter which one does on the left or right speaker?

No, they are all the same. A wire is a wire. You can use all neon pink wire's if you want. :thumb:
