Ebay LCD systems.

hi guys

been a while since I made a post but I desperately need an alarm because I am putting some new subs and a body kit in my baby I am kinda worried about someone getting in and stealin my car since it has no alarm right now/ no power door/windows. so what I am thinking is getting a LCD alarm off ebay and also get a power turnk release kit + manual to power door locks kit. but what my real question is that anyone tried the LCD alarms they sell on ebay? if yes please tell me how was your experience with it.

I will gladly take your flames but please tell me your opinion before I ditch out the money for it, I just want something around $100.

LCD alarm? do you mean the ones with the 2way pager>

I can tell you from experience those things aer the bomb. I have one now. Its real pimp too. The alarm goes off and then you are notified (your surrounding area dictates) but tis very nice.

just dont drop it.

Ok, go to etronics.com and look under alarms there. They have Black Widow (i think it was) LCD alarms one for 85 and another for like 110. Thats gonna be the best way to go.

I'm serious. Do yourself a favor those ripoff kits dont work for shit. Its either way to sensitive or not sensitive enough. Get this if you want a cheap 2 way LCD pager alarm. I paid 360 installed for my alarm (Alarm was like 180 and installation plus door actuators(so i could have power locks) came to 360) and wish I had of got this one now.

so far I am with BlackNWhiteRS just gotta make sure that site is ledgit and also 2 more questions for you BlackNWhiteRS, 1) that alarm system does it sell seperate remotes? I mean it only has one lcd and I need 2 since if I lose one, and 2) did you get one of those cheap actuators of ebay or did you get the power door lock kit some sites sell? I have the same problem , 2g rs and I would really like power door locks so I can get keyless and dont wanna pay that much really since I can install the alarm myself and or the power door locks if there is a manual that comes with it.

you get what you pay for... even for the one you've mentioned buying, after shipping, installation etc... your going to be spending near what a good unit would cost around town. i bought my python responder from abc warehouse installed for $300 even.

Yes, that site is legit.

Yes they sell extra remotes (its 50 bucks though)

And as far as my door poppers, the shop that did my alarm installed them and supplied them. I just had my doors apart today and they look very similar to what is available on that website under the alarm accesories category.

Its a little unit that pops forward and backward, and pushes/pulls a rod that pushes/pulls the door lock. They looks very easy to install, hardest part is alligning them correctly I would imagine.

And as for someone saying "Buy DEI only" I'm almost 100% positive that DEI makes Black Widow as well as almost all other major brands.
