Ive got a 92 gsx that id really like to put a hood scoop on maybe some louvers in the hood or something to vent some of the hot air out of the engin bay.........thanks hope yall can help :dsm: :thumb:

one that i have seen done a few times is cutting a hole in the front of the hump and turning it into a scoop of some sort.
on my old gst i had a hood that had a hole cut in it right above the turbo/exhaust manifold. it was a pretty decent size opening, it was for show and racing though. didnt drive with in on the road much, unless i knew it wasnt going to rain.

also i have seen louvers right above the intake filter

Man i really hate to sound cheep but carbonfiber is kinda steep its a lil pricy if you know what i mean...... yall have any other sugestions for me???

In regards to the post above mine, AVS vents are not actual vents, they just look pretty. You can go check them out at Pep Boys to get a better idea of what they are. Avoid them at all costs. Carbon Trix is about your only choice unless you want to do some major body work on your hood. ErebuniCorp.com has a large selection of scoops and vents, but they all have to be fiberglassed and worked into the hood. If you want a vent, go with Carbon Trix. If that is too expensive, then you are out of luck. Maybe look around on ebay.

thanks for the ideas i think im gona be cheep and creative and try something custom......feel free to keep the ideas comeing :dsm: :thumb:

I have a VIS Racing Carbon Fiber Evo Style hood for my car. Sorry, I don't have pictures. It's not even installed on the car yet, just sitting pretty in the box still. It has a large vent in the middle of the hood, with a small vent on each side as well. Looks good! We'll have to see how it looks on the car when it's installed. Even better is that it has a rain guard for those stormy days.

If you leave the ice cream on the counter for about 5 minutes before you want to scoop it, it's a lot softer. :thumb:
