i'm FINALLY gonna get my car painted and i was thinking...i wanna get a new spoiler (i have the 3 pc)...and i'm down to two options...the turbo spoiler, which i know for a fact looks very nice and clean, or this one

i like it b/c from the pics it seems to flow like the turbo, and kinda looks like the 3000gt vr4 wing....if anyone has more pics of these please post.. i'm looking for advice and .02's

i like that wing. i also have the 3 piece wing and that one looks like the turbo but you dont have to fill in the holes from the side wings.... is that a west wings spoiler? lemme know

i realy dont like the turbo wing i was looking at them for my car and the more and more i looked i didnt like it i have the three peice wing on my car which i belive looks bettter than the turbo wing that your looking at.

it looks about the same height as a Talon wing. I wil say the talon wing gets in the way and yu have to get used to looking under- over- around it.

Ok guys... i've seen that wing on a few N/T cars.. and let's just say it really makes the car really look like a N/T!!! It looks cheesy, ricey, and cheap. All it is, is a wider version of the 97-99 wing. I'd rather keep that one than get that chunky peice.

Also, it looks real heavy and too big.

Sorry to bust ya'lls bubble but I just had to give my .02

I've seen those spoilers out here in Dallas, and man... I just shake my head and wonder... "what was so bad about the stock one? It looks more defined and shapes well with the car!"

anyway... good luck with your choice.

I have the 3 piece mid-wing that you're looking and & I really like it. The main reason that I like it is because unless you know Mitsubishis, people won't know that it's not stock. The second reason I like it is because it flows with our cars lines a lot better than other spoilers that aren't stock.

Here's a few shots.
The last image shows where the holes are in regards to the factory 3 piece spoiler.

I personally like the Kaminari 1 piece more than the 3 piece, it even comes with a hole for the antenna to go through (unless you shaved it, then you would fill the hole on the spoiler.

I agree, that is the only aftermarket spoiler I would put on, the other wing is nuce but with the hatch up it looks like hell and plus it just looks so bug and long across the trunk. I would rather keep the car stock and make it a sleeper. The 97-99 body kit kicks a$$ for the turbo models, we all have a right to our opoinion but that is my $.02 also.

dude get the stock 97-99 turbo wing.....last nite my girlfriend was lookin behind the seat for something and out of no where just said "Dude that spoiler is sikk" im like.. :D ...everyone compliments me on the wing...i personally dont like that big bulky one u are lookin at but its all personal preference..good luck w/ it :thumb:

dude i think that spoiler goes even better on the talon. as it's been said, the "chunkiness" of it goes well with the thicker taillights.

But yea, after seeing those pics, I'm definitely digging the spoiler. Let's face it, I have an RS. If i was gonna be running 12's i wouldnt put the spoiler on it.. but with the coming paintjob and all i want to trick it out a little bit and make it stand out slightly from all the turbo spoilers. I mean hey, it beats the hell out of bigass F&F decals on the side of my car

what do u guys think about this?

its not the same type of wing but i think it could look good.

Cmon its not that bad!! i kinda like it.. why is everyone so stuck on those kinda wings?

That wing looks good on a eclipse

I personally like the two tier big ass disgusting aluminum wing on the dsm. I HATE it on ANY other car. I really havent seen any car that those big wings look good on other than the dsm.

kindof like this one:

You gotta admit though, for an aftermarket spoiler it does flow with the lines of the car well. But still, nothing like the simple 95-96 turbo spoiler. 3pc, not too high - accents the car really well. I think mitsubishi got it right.

DSMKevan, you gotta admit the stock 95-96 turbo spoiler doesn't look that ricey.

The one 95eclipseRsss posted is the one i'm talking about.

that flat aluminum thing does not compliment any of the lines of the car. the factory 3 piece is my second choice, but the quality of the kaminari unit is so nice! My reason for liking it more than the big 3 piece is that the big 3 piece connects to the car past the hatch, making the "butt" of a big butted car look even chunkier, imagine a big boned girl with shelf ass taking on another 15lbs above her shelf ass to make a table top ass. . . man that is alot of ass! OMG

the Kaminari unit attaches to the hatch only and the curvature of the ends compliments the lines of the car, the unit tilts back at a soft angle, further complimenting the "hipps" or rear wheel well flares. PLUS the opening is just high enough that it does NOT block the view of traffic behind you! :thumb:

yea the factory 3 peice is cool but it leaves the cars back end looking to plain and kinda small. Something bigger is needed if your car is that bada$$
