Cant find the hood I want. Help!

I need a carbon fiber hood that is paintable. It must have the OEM "lump." Also, I once saw a hood online somewhere that had a scoop/inlet hole in the front of the lump. Was that a custom job, or does somebody make those? TIA.

im pretty sure the scoop was custom i dont think ive ever seen one for sale on a site like that. also i thought you could paint any CF hood? i got my hood off www.splittingimagez.com , 350$ for the S1 hood with oem lump and free shipping

I didnt know they were all paintable. Do you have to prime it or anything first? And do you have any pics of your car with the aftermarket hood on it?

its actually not on yet, i get my car back today been in the shop for 2 months.... so next week ill have it on.

and im not positive on the painting thing but i dont see why you couldnt. ive never seen like "paintable" CF hood or something. call the shop you would want to paint it they probably know

Carbon fiber hoods are paintable. Scuff and paint. Same as fiberglass as far as prep work.
