I'm just about to get my car painted and I'm up for ideas. I was initially thinking just jet black....but now I'm thinking a orange body with the standard black top with black rims would look phat...lemme know what you guys think! Suggestions are welcome! Photoshop guru's are welcome to mess around with the pic :dsm:

oh and I plan to tint the windows so its all black on top...and I took the rear window wiper out and fiberglassed it over. :dsm:

Hmmm.. I think a regular orange will get tiering after a few months... Try something close to orange..... maybe a la mans sunset type of color. Cant go wrong with black, so if nothing wild seems good.. just stick with your idea of black.

one more thing...I put in a sun roof today because of previous roof damage. (Hood flew up on the interstate 20 min after I bought the car...long story) :dsm:

My 0.02 - an intense orange on black might look like a haloween theme. And will orange work with your interior (lt. grey, dk. grey, black, tan, red, etc)? I'm going to link to two photos from the '03 DSM Shootout - the first is an all orange 1G with white rims that looked sharper than a bed of nails. Owners name escapes me. The second is the old Buschur 1G shop car, shown with the new owner, whose name also escapes me. Hugger Orange in color, and also very sweet. Good luck!

I agree with topple. Orange would probably get boring. Maybe if you did a sunset color, or added a kandy or something. It would look hot w/ a black top, CF hood, gunmetal or black rims, and a black hatch.

If you like driving and like to keep your hard earned money... don't carry a lot of donuts with you... stay away from bright colors.

A friend of mine had cop trouble up to the eyeballs before he painted his black Integra... as an experiement he painted it gray when he put on a full JDM spec kit. Never got hassled or pulled over. Neutral colors blend into the background, cops can't spot you as easily.

When I paint mine... I'm going to paint it the dark Audi gray.

My friend painted her car just a flat orange color which was pretty ugly. She had a pearl put on over it and it's a great color now. So I agree, if you do orange, you better do something special with it.

And yes, she gets pulled over a lot more now

I second that...except i don't like the rims and it needs tinted windows...awesome paint scheme though! :thumb:

I'm not a fan of orange cars personally... If I were to repaint my car, I'd go with gunmetal and a black top w/tinted windows and gunmetal rims with a polished lip, unpainted CF hood. *shrugs* I'm not big on flashy colors though obviously.

For some reason I do like that orange color. I don't know why...LOL

Ok....tell me which color scheme yall like the best...

Im getting my car switched over to the 92 n/t body style, and getting it repainted. After lots of thinking I decided I wanted silver if the color got changed. However, my uncle, and the person who is painting it, says that changing the color will be a biatch (door jams, engine bay). The car is currently red, so its either getting repainted stock red....orr silver. I think silver looks off the hook.....fo scheezy.

Stock blue looks good too. Then again...all stock colors look good haha

Oh and door jams and engine bay painting is overrated i think...it's only necessary if you're trying to win car show competitions...besides it might look kinda cool if you two tone the engine bay/door jams with the new paint job. :thumb:

that orangish/yellow color posted by wastefuldreamer what is the color code for that if it isnt a photoshop job?

just go all black. very nice. orange seems rice. keep it very clean looking. prolly would get old after a wile anyway.
