Help, Help:re:bodykits

I just got the kit i ordered for my car , its the dragon z font bumper and side skirt and the new drift rear kit today,the kits(front n side skirt) is from Andysautosport.com the kit claims that it will fit on a 90 laser but with minor modifications. I went straight to a body shop to have it installed, they installed my side skirt but had problem with the front n rear. Their asking for at least $800 for having my front and rear installed, because they said its like a conversion. Am i getting rip off???.

well that was the first shop i went today, im plannig to shop around tommorw and see other's offer...

A body shop near me is charging me $1,050 for a full body kit to be put on and painted.

custom body work can get VERY expensive, unfortunatley.

Yeah, that sounds reasonable if the kit has to be modified.

if u look at the pics those ground effects are made to fit the cars without the pop ups...so i dunno bout the prices..but that right there should spell out costly.

as far as i know, the only modification to the FRONT bumper is to remove a tab at the top of the bumper (by cutting) to spec.

the rear bumper is made for an eclipse, so you either need the eclipse tail-lights, or they def. will have to modify the rear bumper.

What kind of work was done? For that much you could've learned how to do it yourself, did it yourself, and saved at least 2500+

place i ordered through wanted 900 to paint and install that full body kit from andys auto sport. I have tyhe kit but not put on yet on the back end i bought eclipse lights, and shaved the middle plate on my Laser I have a 92 so the front was different. The side skirts are the easiest to have done. The front bumper needed some work. It's all at the shop i'll post pics when i get it back.
