some times when my car starts the boost guage is pinned at 0 for like 3 minutes, i can make boost no problem, it doesnt say anything until about 5 psi, snaps to 5 and climbs, then when i let off it jsut snaps back to 0, no vacuum at all for a little while, this happends only sometimes then its back to norma,, is it something i have to worry about?? anyone ever seen this before?

Check the vacuum line the boost gauge is hooked up to. Maybe for a leak or something... I had the same problem at one point.. I kept moving the boost gauge to different vacuum lines. When i finally tapped into the fpr line.. Then i got a vacuum reading...Its most likely where you have the boost gauge hooked up to.

1.) what type of boost/vaccum gauge do you have? Mechanical/electronic?
2.) where are you tapped in for a boost/vaccum source?
3.) What brand is it?

Sometimes readings on a vaccum/boost gauge can give indications of potential problems, but other test must be done to confirm the diagnosis. You would also have to take in account any symptoms. Smoke, ETC.

had the same problem and found out i had a hole in the nylon line. got a new line from autometter gauge works now. Check the above , and if its the gauge and autometter they get it fixed.
