Just looking for some suggestions on where to hide a boost guage. I was thinking of taking out the cigaret lighter and mounting the boost their. Has anyone done this before this or know who makes a guage that would fit thier. good idea :thumb: or bad idea :thumbdown

Yah, thats a guage you really wanna see. Don't wanna see that boost controller pop off and you overboost. I wouldn't hide it if i were you. You could hide a "useless" gauge like a air/fuel. That isnt a gauge you need to see all the time. only when you're trying to tune from it.

I want to keep it a sleeper and i dont want to be like everyone else and have a tripod. Just a suggestion with the cig lighter but im open to anything.

Put in your ash tray that way you can close the ashtray whenever you are not viewing the gauge.

sleeper or not, u can still hear the spool of "something" under the hood when u are accelerating :thumb: .ppl will know, ricers will think its a new revolutionized cold air intake system tht adds about 60 ponies and wont wanna mess with u.

I know i cant hide the spool but thiers an srt-4 :barf: among others that I keep trying to run me and when I do some mods I want it to appear stock ;) . APEAR!!

or get one of the dash gauge bezels. that way you dont have to cut anything. and it's still low enough that no one outside will see it. im waiting fo rmy gauges to get in that i bought off of someone on here (if they ever get here) and im going to be doing that to mine.

Yeah I have the bezel and it looks so clean. Definetly do the dual pod bezel if you don't want to attrack attention.

get one of those universal mount anywhere cups and put it on top of the steering column. It is for the most part hidden from outside the car and it is in plain view for you.
I have that set up in my car now. I used to have a pillar triple gauge pod and when people at a light saw them, they would try to get me into a race with them. I no longer have that problem now. Boost gauge is in perfect view. Autometer makes a nice universal pod. I use all black gauges and the pod is also black, so it does not draw much attention.

i thought of maybe putting it in the driver door a/c vent? i dunno seems pretty hidden, yet pretty viewable for you

i think you have to do some custom work :thumb:

hmmm cool idea I guess but I wouldn't want it in carbon fiber. I have my turbo timer mounted there, I was going to put it in the trash compartment but the harness wouldn't reach that far. I'm thinking of mounting an a/f gauge in the door vent.
