Well I just bought my gsx :thumb: and I love it. But I got it with a blown infinty and need some help. I was hoping someone did this before and could give me some info. Should I keep the stock amp or nix it with the alpine h.u. If so how do i wire it up? Ive heard a lot of opinions but not from anyone whos done it before. Help me out here guys

Personally I tossed the infinity amp. I did not want to buy more adapters to get roughly the same power as the aftermarket h/u

to do so w/o changing to a coaxial speaker set you will need some type of passive x over like the ones used on component sets, and also you don't use the front speaker wiring on your adapter harness, but run new wires under the carpet to the passender seat location where you can get the tweeter and mid wiring from the infinity "amp" plug.

here is a thread from just a week ago where I posted some good info on doing this.

I am not familiar with the adapter harness that some use to hookup the infinity, but I am sure there is atleast one other connection required to use the amp. I did not have a factory head when I bought the car so I did not want or need the amp. Wish Ihad kept it to sell later!
